मुंबई : एक्टर-प्रोड्यूसर अभय देओल रॉयल्टी इशू को लेकर म्यूज़िक कंपनी के ख़िलाफ़ खुलकर सामने आ गए हैं। इस कंपनी के पास अभय की फ़िल्म ‘वन बाई टू ‘के म्यूज़िक राइट्स हैं। अभय ने इस लड़ाई में सोशल नेटवर्किंग साइट्स की मदद लेना शुरू कर दिया है। फेसबुक पर अपने पेज पर अभय ने इस इशू पर अपनी बात रखी है। पेश है अभय का मैसेज, जो उन्होंने अपने फैंस के साथ शेयर किया है –

My friends, I just did the unthinkable. I took on the giant record label of the music industry. Many of you on FB and those I meet on the road have been asking me when the music of my film will release. It is the 14th of January, my film is out on the 31st of this month and yet there are no albums available in the market.

Well the entire music fraternity is up in arms against the record labels because they expect musicians to sign a contract with a clause that is against the law. Producers like myself are expected to make sure that they sign. Which means if anyone is arrested for breaking the law it will be the producer!

I am also against the exploitation of artists. I believe in their rights and even if a musician was ready to sign it, I would advise him/her against it. As a result, I have no album in the market. In fact now, I wouldn’t be surprised if the music company pulls out my promos from the TV channels. I don’t have radio play anyway.

So far, no producer or studio has taken on this record label. Me and Viacom have nothing more to lose, they have already killed any potential buzz the music could have created for the film had it been put up for sale weeks ago. At the moment I have the entire music fraternity behind me. Ram Sampat and Sona Mohapatra , Amit Trivedi, Vishal and Shekhar, Javed Akhtar and of course Shankar Ehsaan and Loy have all expressed their support.

Now I am just waiting to see which producers, actors and studios will come forth to highlight this issue.

I hope my film will not suffer as a result.

इस मैसेज से लगता है, कि अभय इस मुद्दे को आसानी से छोड़ने वाले नहीं हैं। म्यूज़िक कंपनी के ख़िलाफ़ अपनी ये नाराज़गी अभय ने हाल ही में हुए स्क्रीन अवॉर्ड समारोह के दौरान भी खुलकर ज़ाहिर की, जिसमें वो अपनी एक आंख ब्लैक करके आए थे, जैसे उन्हें किसी ने मारा हो।

क्या है मुद्दा :

म्यूज़िक कंपनी टी-सीरीज़ के पास अभय की फ़िल्म ‘वन बाई टू’ के राइट्स हैं। फ़िल्म का म्यूज़िक कंपोज किया है शंकर, एहसान और लॉय ने। कंपनी ने म्यूज़िक डायरेक्टर्स से एक कांट्रेक्ट साइन करने के लिए कहा, जिसके मुताबिक ‘वन बाई टू’ के म्यूज़िक से आने वाली रॉयल्टी पर म्यूज़िक कंपनी का अधिकार होगा।

शंकर, एहसान लॉय ने इस कांट्रेक्ट को साइन करने से इंकार कर दिया, जिसके बाद टी-सीरीज़ ने फ़िल्म का म्यूज़िक रिलीज़ नहीं किया है। इस मामले में अभय अपनी फ़िल्म के म्यूज़िक डायरेक्टर्स के साथ खड़े हैं, और दूसरे प्रोड्यूसर्स से भी उम्मीद कर रहे हैं, कि वो इस मुद्दे पर उनका साथ दें।

31 जनवरी को रिलीज़ हो रही ‘वन बाई टू’ अभय की पहली होम प्रोडक्शन फ़िल्म है, जिसे डेब्यूटेंड देविका भगत ने डायरेक्ट किया है। फ़िल्म में अभय की लीडिंग लेडी उनकी रियल लाइफ़ गर्ल फ्रेंड प्रीति देसाई हैं।
